Have you ever met the real Cossacks? Free people who lived in free lands of Central Ukraine more than 200 years ago and left us huge historical and cultural heritage.


In the tour to the lands of free Cossacks you will see traditional Cossack settlements, learn Ukrainian arts and crafts, try tasty traditional Ukrainian food and drinks.
Our tour includes:
– Visiting Poltava city with its beautiful complex of architectural and historical attractions, learning Cossacks culture and traditional life style in storied village Dikanka, exploring sights of Cossacks’ glory, including field of the Great Poltava Battle, having dinner in a true Ukrainian restaurant complex “Kozachka”.
– Excursion to Petrykivka Art Village with its authentic Ukrainian style of painting that came from the times of Cossacks, taking part in a master-class and visiting the unique painted houses at the countryside.
– Visiting Dnipro city that was founded by Russian tsarina Catherine the Great in the end of 18 century, seeing examples of Stalin time architecture, walking along the biggest and the most beautiful embankment in Ukraine.
– Trip to the Khortitsa Island in Zaporizhzhya– the most famous place where Ukrainian Cossacks lived. The Island of Khortitsa is picturesque area with the real prototype of Cossacks military fortification of 1552. During the tour you’ll see Cossacks stronghold with the cannon yard, the Museum of sunken Cossacks’ ships and the tobacco pipes exhibition. You also will be impressed by Cossacks fighting show.

Tour plan:
First day
7:00-12:00 Transfer from Kiev (m. st. Vydubychi) to Poltava region.
12:00-13:40 Arriving to Poltava, transfer to Ukrainian cultural complex Proni, lunch (meals extra).
13:40-15:00 Visiting Dikanka village, excursion to the Museum of History and Life of Dikanka.
15:00-18:00 Excursion to Poltava city: sightseeing tour, visiting Museum of history of the Great Poltava Battle, as well as the field of the Great Poltava Battle, watching beautiful views to the Vorskla river Valley from the White Belvedere on Ivanova Gora.
18:00-18:30 Accommodation at Poltava hotel.
18:30-20:00 Dinner at Ukrainian restaurant complex “Kozachka” (meals extra).
from 20:00 Free time.

Second day
8:00-9:00 Breakfast (meals extra).
9:00-11:30 Transfer from Poltava to Petrykivka Art Village.
11:30-15:30 Excursion to the Petrykivka Art Center, taking part in a master-class, traditional home made lunch in a host guest house (meals included).
15:30-16:30 Transfer from Petrykivka Art Village to Dnipro.
16:30-17:00 Accommodation at Dnipro hotel.
17:00-19:00 Dnipro walking tour around historical and central part of the city.
19:00-20:30 Dinner (meals extra).
from 20:30 Free time.

Third day
8:00-9:00 Breakfast (meals extra).
9:00-10:30 Transfer from Dnipro to Zaporizhzhya. Observing tour around the city, watching the Hydropower station.
11:00-13:00 Khortytsa Island. Excursion to the Historical complex Zaporizhska Sich – the real prototype of Cossacks military fortification of 1552 with typical buildings and lifestyle elements, with the cannon yard and tobacco pipe museum.
13:00-14:00 Cossacks’ fighting show.
14:00-15:30 Excursion to the Museum of sunken Cossacks’ ships of 18 century.
15:30-16:30 Lunch (meals extra).
16:30-24:00 Transfer from Zaporizhzhya to Kiev.

Tour duration: 3 days (2 nights).

Tour price: 299 $ per person.
Price includes: all excursions and museum tickets, transportation service during the tour, accommodation for 2 nights (1st night in Poltava, 2nd night in Dnipro).
